Milia on face

The Milia are very small white buttons, a little stiff, and appear on the skin at any age. These grains are not dangerous, but they are a bit unsightly.

What causes Milia?
These are small white bumps that form on the face. Originally, they are dead cells that are trapped under the skin and form a small cyst.

- While they may appear at any age, they particularly affect children. Almost half of babies have or will have. Babies and adults have Milia because their skin has not been sufficiently cleared of dead cells.

- The adults have Milia due to rashes or burns, the skin is blistered and pores are damaged.

Milia treatment
Milium may be removed by a dermatologist with a needle, chemical peeling or an electric current. Needles remove the contents within the cysts. Electrical current removes the top layer of the skin during the Milia and destroy it.
